The UN's 2030 Agenda:

A Vision for Sustainable Development

As Coalition Members to the UN we support the United Nations' 2030 Agenda is a transformative plan of action aimed at fostering sustainable development
across the globe. At its core are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which serve as a universal call to
address critical challenges such as poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, and peace.

By 2030, the UN aims to achieve several key objectives:

End Poverty and Hunger

The agenda targets the complete eradication of extreme poverty and hunger, ensuring that all people, particularly the most vulnerable, have access to food, resources, and basic services.

Promote Health and Well-being

The initiative seeks to improve global health outcomes, reducing child and maternal mortality, combating epidemics, and ensuring universal health coverage.

Quality Education
for All

The UN is committed to providing inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education, promoting lifelong learning opportunities for everyone, regardless of background.

Climate Action and Environmental Protection

The 2030 agenda prioritizes urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts by reducing carbon emissions, conserving biodiversity, and promoting sustainable energy sources.

Gender Equality and Social Justice

A major focus is on achieving gender equality and empowering women and girls worldwide while also addressing inequality in all its forms.

Clean Water and Sanitation

Ensure universal access to safe and affordable drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene while improving water quality and management of freshwater ecosystems.

Affordable and Clean Energy

Provide universal access to affordable, reliable, and modern energy services, increase the share of renewable energy, and improve energy efficiency.

Decent Work and Economic Growth

Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.

Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure

Build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation to drive economic growth and job creation.

Reduced Inequalities

Reduce inequality within and among countries by improving income distribution, ensuring equal opportunities, and empowering marginalized communities.

Sustainable Cities and Communities

Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable by improving urban planning, reducing environmental impact, and ensuring access to housing and public services.

Responsible Consumption and Production

Promote sustainable consumption and production patterns, reduce waste, and encourage businesses and consumers to adopt more responsible practices.

Climate Action

Take urgent action to combat climate change by strengthening resilience, promoting climate education, and mobilizing resources to mitigate its impacts.

Life Below Water

Conserve and sustainably use oceans, seas, and marine resources by reducing pollution, protecting marine ecosystems, and promoting sustainable fishing practices.

Life on Land

Protect, restore, and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, combat desertification, and halt biodiversity loss.

Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions

Promote peaceful, inclusive societies by reducing violence, ensuring access to justice, and building accountable, effective institutions.

Partnerships for the Goals

Strengthen global partnerships for sustainable development by mobilizing resources, improving international cooperation, and fostering innovation.

Through partnerships with governments, businesses, and civil society, the UN's 2030 initiatives aim to create a world
where all people can live in dignity, opportunity, and peace. These ambitious goals lay the foundation for a more just,
equitable, and sustainable future for generations to come.
